Restoring identity. Rebuilding lives. Rewriting what’s possible after incarceration.
The SCIR Foundation exists for people stepping back into the world after prison — people carrying history, trauma, and stories that don’t fit neatly into case files. We help them find clarity, identity, purpose, and create a stability that lasts beyond supervision, circumstance, or the past. Because every person deserves a chance to return to themselves, not just to society.
SCIR Reentry™ is a trauma‑responsive, lived‑experience‑driven program that helps individuals rebuild identity, purpose, and stability before release.
Rebuilding a person’s internal story so they can see themselves as someone capable of change, responsibility, and a future.
Strengthening practical life skills and decision‑making patterns that reduce impulsivity and support stable, pro‑social choices.
Creating a trauma‑responsive transition plan that prepares individuals for the emotional, environmental, and logistical challenges of release.
Connecting strengths, identity, and purpose to meaningful employment pathways that support long‑term success.
Teaching the practical and emotional skills needed to navigate society, systems, and stigma as a person with a felony record.
Supporting healthy reconnection, communication, and boundaries during the complex process of family reintegration.
Providing structure, guidance, and stabilization strategies for the critical first weeks and months after release.
